me says:
sorry to say it but i still don't get the paradox of how therapists and helpers are so messed up themselves sometimes (myself included).
she says:
it's what gives us insight
she says:
people who don't suffer would never have the patience or understanding to treat others
me says:
but that explanes only one part of it. why to choose a career where you can get even more hurt or where you are faced with your fears and troubles most of the time?
she says:
familiarity
she says:
we feel comfortable with what we know - even if it is painful
me says:
but that is self-destructive. yes, there is also development but also maso-tendencies
she says:
highest of highs and the lowest of lows
she says:
beats flat-lining
me says:
and you think that is healthy?
she says:
differently risky!!
she says:
I know I couldn't do a 9 - 5 office job my emotions would kill me!
she says:
I know my job is the right one for me
she says:
but it has it's draw-backs of course
me says:
it's like livin on the edge all the time
me says:
BUT
me says:
I want to stay as close to the edge as I canwithout going over.
Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.
Kurt Vonnegut
she says:
ha ha - that's it exactly!
After ten years in therapy,
my psychologist told me something very touching,
he said, “no hablo ingles."

Take a music bath once or twice a week for a few seasons, and you will find that it is to the soul what the water bath is to the body.

mõni päev tagasi oli mul mõttekäik, et küsimusi on mul rohkem kui vastuseid ning küsimusi tekib aina juurde. eile sattusin kokku teise mõttekäiguga - mitte meil ei ole elule küsimusi, vaid elul on küsimused meile. oluline on see, kuidas meie nendele küsimustele vastame.
What if this weren't a hypothetical question?

oluline filmisoovitus.
2004.a ameerika film "p.s.", peaosas laura linney.
jah, see on B-kategooria hollywoodilik pisaratemeelitaja.
aga jah, see meeldis mulle.
mõned tsitaadid:
"you're on "step 9," aren't you? you're making amends? i fucking hate "step 9" with a passion!"
"you can't tell somebody they're dead. they'll go into shock."

To fear love is to fear life, and those who fear life are already three parts dead.
Bertrand Russel
mis on minu elu sisu?
läbi mille loon ma ennast?
mis on minu tegevuse mõte?
mis on minu tee?
mis suunas ma liigun?
kes ma olen ja kes ma tahan olla?

Nobody can tell you if what you're doing is good, meaningful or worthwhile.
The more compelling the path, the more lonely it is.
Hugh Macleod

olen rahul, et julgen järjest rohkem olla oma varjupoolega.

Alas! must it ever be so?
Do we stand in our own light, wherever we go,
And fight our own shadows forever?

lugesin hommikul kaplinskit
vaatasin aknast välja
üle pika aja nägin jälle päikest
ja mõtlesin sellest, et
terve elu olen otsinud tõde
mida pole
sest et on ainult
tee.

The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement.
But the opposite of a profound truth
may well be another profound truth.
Niels Bohr

et uus oleks ilus...
...
aga tänane päev...
unesegased väikesed alleed
tauno siim
unesegased väikesed alleed
tuhanded allveelaevad
sajad tunded
ah! mis väärt on need
kui vohavad pealtveevaevad
lõvilõuad avatud on karjeks
kui ruumi astub karjerist
ja käe tõstab enda pilgu varjeks
mees kelle tunded on vaid paberist
karjerist laualt haarab käärid
surub paberile metalsed terad
võtab rebib tõmbab määrib
kõik on katki. ah! mis sest enam

You are responsible for the talent that has been entrusted to you.
